Customizing Your Presentation

After AI generates your slides, you have complete control to customize every element. This tutorial shows you how to edit text, work with blocks, and perfect your presentation.

Time: 3 minutes
Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: You've created a presentation

Understanding the Editor

The presentation editor has three main areas you'll use constantly.

Left sidebar: Thumbnail view of all your slides. Click any slide to edit it.

Center canvas: Your active slide with all its content blocks. This is where you'll do most of your editing.

Right sidebar: Blocks drawer with 60+ content elements you can add to slides.

Tip: The canvas zooms to fit your screen, but you can adjust the zoom level using the controls at the bottom.

Editing Text on Slides

Click any text to start editing immediately.

  1. Click directly on the text you want to change
  2. Type your new content—formatting is preserved
  3. Click outside the text box or press Escape to finish

For rich text blocks:

  • Select text to see formatting options (bold, italic, lists)
  • Use Cmd+B (Mac) or Ctrl+B (Windows) for bold
  • Use Cmd+I or Ctrl+I for italic

Result: Your changes save automatically. No save button needed.

Adding New Blocks

Blocks are the building blocks of your slides. Each block is a content element—text, images, charts, or layouts.

  1. Open the Blocks drawer on the right
  2. Browse by category: Text, Images, Charts, People, Business, Process
  3. Click any block to add it to your slide
  4. Drag the block to position it where you want

Popular blocks to try:

  • Title Block: Large headings for slide titles
  • Bullet Points: Lists of key information
  • Image Block: Add photos or AI-generated images
  • Two Column Grid: Side-by-side content layout

Result: The block appears on your slide, ready to customize.

Reordering and Organizing

Move blocks around to perfect your layout.

To reorder blocks on a slide:

  1. Hover over any block to see the drag handle (six dots)
  2. Click and drag to move it up or down
  3. Release to drop in the new position

To reorder slides:

  1. In the left sidebar, drag any slide thumbnail
  2. Drop it in the new position
  3. Your presentation flow updates instantly

Tip: Keep your most important content in the top half of slides—that's what audiences see first.

Deleting and Adding Slides

You have full control over your slide structure.

To delete a slide:

  1. Click the slide thumbnail in the left sidebar
  2. Click the trash icon that appears on hover
  3. Confirm deletion

To add a new slide:

  1. Click + Add Slide between any existing slides
  2. Or use the button at the bottom of the slide list
  3. A blank slide appears, ready for content

Result: Your presentation structure adapts to your needs.

Working with Images

Images make presentations visual and engaging.

To replace an image:

  1. Click the image block on your slide
  2. In the image settings panel, click Generate New for AI images
  3. Or click Upload to use your own image
  4. The image updates in real-time

Tip: AI-generated images use your selected style. Change the style in presentation settings for different aesthetics.
